Blood is never enough. Its shortage is everyone's problem, not just the people who need it. SEDPLUS took care of a multi-channel advertising campaign project for the Avis Comunale di Oristano to promote the solidarity action of donations.
La campagna
The advertising campaign aims to raise awareness and encourage blood donations.
The project
Communication of social issues of public utility, such as blood donation, must be constant over time. Only the repetition of messages can lead to a real increase in regular donors (possibly registered with AVIS) beyond simply responding to a communication campaign capable of increasing donations in the immediate future.
The first phase
The AVIS project was devised and coordinated by SEDPLUS with the participation of Dr. Pierfrancesco Simbula, president of AVIS Comunale Oristano and ASL Oristano. The first phase of the campaign was conveyed through the use of different media, in particular street posters and social sponsorships.
In particular, in the creativity, the headline text is missing some letters to highlight a lack. The same lack of blood that represents a real problem for all the people who need it. This associative mechanism set against a red background helps to make the message stand out even more, conveying a sense of urgency.
Then, given the widespread misinformation about the donation process, we thought of an explicit and immediate form of communication: the video spot. An authentic tutorial explaining how to donate blood.
SEDPLUS took care of the AVIS project in all its phases: conception, production and post-production of the spots. For the filming we had the support of Mistralstudio while the role of testimonial was entrusted to Claudia Tronci, creator and presenter of numerous successful television programmes.
With the arrival of Halloween, the AVIS multi-channel campaign was enriched with an unusual and fun communication. With the atmosphere of the scariest night of the year, we wanted to remind everyone of the importance of donating blood.
So why not involve Count Dracula himself, he who most needs fresh blood. Here he is in the company of AVIS testimonial Claudia Tronci, this time in an unusual and fascinating vampire version.
